Time for a Giveaway

My blog hit 25,000 visitors earlier this week and it's time to celebrate!!  I'm giving away two prizes that should please most fiber lovers.

Quilters/Sewers -- a bundle of 8 fat quarters from the P&B Textiles line, Annabelle.  Yes, I've had them in my stash for a bit but I'm realizing that they've not been getting any attention and they'll be much happier in another home.

And for knitting enthusiasts here is a 280 yard skein of hand dyed 100% Wool yumminess, Wee Woolies by Jolen:

To be entered into the drawing for one of these prizes, leave me a comment telling me these two things:
  1. Your favorite thing about Summer
  2. Which prize you would like to win
The contest will end at 9 PM EST on Tuesday, August 31st and I will use the random.org website to pick the winners.

I've been wondering if my comment button is broken -- no one has been leaving comments lately.  I know you're out there so send me some feedback please!

ETA -- 8/31/2010 9:00 PM -- Done, done, diddley done!!!

I like the more relaxed feel of the season. There isn't the rush that there seems to be during the other seasons. Perhaps it is the warmer weather and people just move a bit slower and with the cold you feel the need to rush.

My favorite thing about the summer is that the sun doesn't go down til after 9 and you get to spend more time outside... and the memories of childhool summers past :)

Hmmm.... my favorite thing about summer would have to be the colors! I love to see green grass and pretty flowers in the sunlight, it just makes me want to go outside and go for a walk or something....oh and I am also a beach bum =)

If I had to choose one prize I would say the fabric. I am just beginning to sew on a machine and I think I could give a very good home =)

My favorite thing about summer is summer. I don't have to work, because I teach, so it's nice just to spend days doing nothing at all or visiting or, as I did this summer, buying yarn...

I'd choose the yarn. Very pretty

and congratulations on the visitors...

Normally I would say the comfort of wearing loose, light clothing. But we really haven't had summer this year in SF. In fact, it's the 13th coldest on record so far. We did get into the nineties for two days early this week, the first warm days since June. Then it dropped right back to 65. So my favorite thing about this summer in SF is that it's another season when I can wear my handknits. Which is why I'd like the yarn, please. I need some summer mittens.

The thing I LOVE about summer is being able to watch my children run around barefoot in the grass, on the beach... anywhere!!! And being from Maine, that doesn't last very long so I soak it up as much as I can!

If I win, I would LOVE to scrumptious wool to knit something cozy for my 6th child (a sweet little girl who is 5.5 months) ~ in Maine...we need all the wool we can get!! hehe

Thank you for running this fun contest!!

Summer is awesome because I am on holidays, have no set schedule, can travel around the country, quilt to my hearts content....
If I am chosen I would choose the fabric as I am a quilter. Thanks for the chance - love your blog too! micheletimms(at)gmail(dot)com

My favorite thing about summer is that my mood is naturally shifted to a more positive light. I'm not sure if I'm one of those rare seasonal-affected individuals, but as soon as late spring hits, me and my dog are in a more laid back, exercise more, frown less mood! I end up being grumpy and having a cold during the winter and spring...and my mind/body do better in the Summer and Fall. It's easier to go outside and explore and go for more walks, hang out, and there are more parks in my area open during the summer.

Congrats on the hits, I'm trying to one day get the same amount of interest in my blog!

PS: I love that yarn, it's so pretty!

What do I love about summer?

Cruising along the shoreline here in Connecticut and stopping off at Lenny and Joe's Fish Tales for fried clam strips. Nothing better than fresh seafood on a warm sunny summer day.

I would love to win the yarn. So pretty. You can find me on Ravelry as WifeMomKnitter.

Thank you.

I love the way summer makes the kids happy. I love day trips to the beach. I love the tons of yummy fruits and berries I get from the farmers market.

And I'd really love that skein of handspun. Lynnette on Ravelry, or follow the link to my blog.

My favorite thing about summer is the lazy warm sunny afternoons! Had one of those this Sunday, and spent a bunch of it outside on the patio with sunglasses on, lemonade ready for sipping, and a great pair of socks on the needles ;)

Congrats on your numbers in the blogosphere! I really look forward to your entries....
Summer is all about flowerbeds in full bloom (even the weeds), fresh tomatoes from the garden, the sweet smell of newly cut grass, sun-tanned legs, and a cool glass of wine on the deck. -I'd pick the yarn - very yummy colorway!

I like the noises at night especially crickets , frogs and cikadas, birds chirping in the morning and thunderstorms. Sunshine of course, but especially the smell of the air after a rainstorm.
The yarn would find a good home here! Kim T -sunshinekim
