Earlier this week I had to laugh when I saw a mug shot on the web for someone who had stolen knitting needles from some one's car. I thought what a nut -- did he think he could pawn them for booze or drug money??? He looked absolutely pitiful. But then I read a sad story. One that I could relate to in terms of despair. Mary Scott Huff out in Portland had a suitcase full of her hand knits stolen from the trunk of her car, which was parked in her very own driveway.
I hesitate to think what would happen if some wackadoodle vagabond were to break into my minivan in the fall when it's loaded up with show inventory and supplies. Oh the tears I would shed.
You can read about Mary's woes and how she's managing to move on here.
