It's snowing today. That's not exciting to a lot of people on the East coast of the U.S. but for me, it's about time! You just shouldn't see the grass in February around here. I shoveled a bit and came inside, handing the shovel off to Kevin to finish the job.
I looked out the front window and saw him just standing there near his truck on the street. What the hey? Actually, I have raised him right and it does come out more than once in a while. Across the street I saw my 85 year old widowed neighbor gingerly making her way over to the waiting car in her driveway. She was carrying a cake, on her way to dinner somewhere I suspected. I started to steam. Her lame 'ol son couldn't even get out of the car to help his mother. Kevin shot over in a flash and came to her aid. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Jessica's son pull into the driveway and basically dump his mother out of the car. He never helps her up the steps to her porch and into the house safely, even though she has bad knees and could use the support.
Makes me hopeful that when I'm old and falling apart Kevin will be there for me. Right??
