Poll Closed

Well my Resolution poll is now closed and apparently nobody wants to be a better person. :*)
The winner was 'Get Organized' which is definitely something most people could do.  Especially my son Kevin who donated his car to charity this year, can't find the receipt and doesn't remember who he donated it to.  Argh.  He also had his cell phone stolen yesterday while making a delivery for the restaurant.  Oddly enough, I received a call on my cell phone from someone I didn't recognize shortly after that happened -- coincidence?

Today was our last full team meeting at work.  When my boss reminded us that this was the case and expressed her appreciation for the soon-to-be-gone teammates it just brought me to tears.  I hate change and will be so sorry to see them both go at the end of the month.  It makes me want to not be in the office that day.

I got a little bit more knitted today on the Thai Vest.  Have I mentioned how much I DISLIKE knitting on the Denise needles???  I timed myself tonight and it takes me 5 minutes to knit across and 7 minutes to purl back.  I'm heading over to Right off the Sheep tomorrow to buy an Addi Turbo instead.  Ok, so some of you have someone in your life who loves you enough to buy you a set of Addi Clicks, but not me.  If I happen to get a windfall in March from work I just might get a set for myself.  I've been eyeing them for just about a year now and I think it's time to treat myself!

Were you talking to me??? My suggestion is to put $10.00 a week into a jar, or maybe instead of buying that next skein, and 16-17 weeks later, voila!!!! A set of Addi Turbo Clicks!! Which are FANTASTIC, by the way! Not something I would ever have bought myself...I too would choke at the price, but its a very good investment for someone who loves to knit!

You and Eddie. Plus Kate got them in exchange for work at Ewe-Nique. I'll get them eventually. Maybe your 'layaway' plan is a good idea...

Sometimes we don't buy a 'bigger' thing cuz it's 'too expensive', but we keep on buying lots of little things--maybe even some that we don't really care about. Might as well save up & buy the 'bigger' thing that we really want & could use!
