My 50th Quilt

You probably thought I was going to tell you about the 50th quilt I've made.  Nope.  To be honest, I'm not really sure how many quilts I've made in the 20+ years I've been quilting.  Definitely less than 50 though.

No, today I wanted to show you the wonderful gift my friend Sue made for me for my 50th birthday earlier this month.

There are 49 hexagons using 49 different fabrics, plus the black background, for a total of 50 different fabrics used.  Isn't Sue clever?  Here's the label she added to the back of the quilt:

I've slept under it every night since I got home from Torch Lake last Sunday.  I love it and her!
