A Very Good Day

It's always a good day when I get to see my grandson Denver.  Today I met Holly and Denver for lunch at my Mom's.  This was the third time in 11 days that I've seen my Mom.  Same stories, different days....

I gave Denver this handmade monkey as a belated Easter present.  I found it at the DIA when I visited there in February with my friends Sue and Mary.  The monkey was from a women's cooperative in Kenya.  The yarn came from sheep they raised, sheared and then dyed the fiber using natural dyes, spun, and finally hand knit.  There's a connection to Jane Goodall, though I can't remember where she fits in relation to the cooperative.

Denver found Great-Grandma's bowl of Chex Mix:

Denver did a pretty good job on his bowl of French Canadian Pea Soup and crackers.

Nice picture of my Mom with Holly and Denver.
